Museums in Andhra Pradesh

The glorious days are far over, but museums promise a glimpse even today. While in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, it would be a wonderful idea to visit museums that the state features. On the one hand, Andhra Pradesh offers you museums that exist due to the numerous excavations done by the Archaeological Survey of India. On the othere, you also come across museums that sport a one-man collection. If you are a lover of antiques, you can head straight to the A.P. State Museum (Hyderabad) and Amravati Museum (Amravati). Do remember to travel to places like Cuddapah, Nizamabad and Kolanupaka, if you happen to be a true history buff. One of the biggest attractions in Hyderabad, the state capital, is the Salar Jung Museum, established by Mir Yousuf Ali Khan Salar Jung III. It is interesting to note that whatever you witness at the museum has been collected single-handedly by Mir Yousuf himself. The city of Hyderabad has a number of other historic museums. Some others must-see museums in Andhra Pradesh include Nagarjuna Konda Museum, Nizam's Museum and Victoria Jubilee Museum among others.
